Privacy notice

Privacy notice under the Turkish Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 (KVKK). Version: 2026-10-26.

1. Data controller

The data controller for personal data collected through this website (drvelhair.com) and its inquiry form, offered under the Dr.vel brand, is Uğur Yavuz (hair transplant coordinator, Istanbul). Contact: info@drvelhair.com, +90 532 060 76 20.

2. What data we process

  • Inquiry form: full name, phone number, e-mail address (optional), your short message (optional), your confirmation that you are over 18, and the page and language from which you sent the form.
  • Source of your inquiry: which ad or link brought you to the site (campaign parameters, previous page address). Ad click identifiers (e.g. Google and Meta ad IDs) are processed only if you allowed marketing cookies in the cookie banner.
  • Communication records: the content of our phone, WhatsApp or e-mail conversations with you and our team's notes.
  • Technical logs: our hosting provider's standard server logs when you visit (IP address, browser information, requested page).
  • Measurement data: only if you consented in the cookie banner, usage statistics such as page views and form submissions. Details in the Cookie Policy.

The inquiry form does not ask for health information, photos or the method you are interested in. If photos or health information are needed for a preliminary assessment, we ask for them separately and only with your explicit consent (see Explicit consent for health data).

3. Why we process it

  • To respond to your inquiry; to call you or write to you on WhatsApp and schedule a preliminary consultation.
  • To track the inquiry and consultation process in our customer relationship system.
  • To measure which channel brought your inquiry and to improve the site and our service.
  • To meet our legal obligations and protect our rights in case of a dispute.
  • If you additionally consented: to send campaign and information messages by e-mail, SMS or WhatsApp (see Marketing messages consent).

4. Legal grounds

We rely on the following grounds in Article 5 of the KVKK: processing directly related to establishing or performing a contract (Art. 5/2-c) for responding to your inquiry and scheduling the consultation; our legitimate interest (Art. 5/2-f) for source measurement, record keeping and site security; our legal obligations (Art. 5/2-ç) for statutory retention and reporting. Marketing messages, marketing cookies and any health data are processed only with your explicit consent (Art. 5/1 and Art. 6), which you may withdraw at any time.

5. Who we share it with

Your data is never sold or shared with third parties for their own advertising. The following service providers process data only for the purposes above and on our instructions:

  • Cloudflare (site hosting, form relay and e-mail forwarding; global network, US-based),
  • Make (automation that passes the form inquiry to our customer relationship system; servers in the European Union),
  • Kommo (customer relationship system; inquiry and consultation tracking),
  • Google (e-mail service; Google Analytics site measurement if you consented),
  • Meta (communication via WhatsApp; ad measurement if you consented).

These providers' servers may be located outside Turkey, in which case your data is transferred abroad under Article 9 of the KVKK. We base the transfer on data processing agreements with the providers and on your explicit consent. Where legally required, your data may be shared with competent public authorities.

6. How we collect it

Electronically, through the form on our website, phone, WhatsApp and e-mail; and automatically during your visit through cookies and server logs.

7. How long we keep it

  • Inquiries that do not lead to a consultation: at most 2 years from our last contact.
  • Records where a consultation or service relationship is established: for the statutory limitation period after the relationship ends (general rule 10 years).
  • Marketing message consents: until withdrawn; the withdrawal record for 3 years (Law No. 6563 and the IYS system).
  • Server and measurement logs: the providers' standard periods (at most 14 months).

When the period ends, your data is deleted, destroyed or anonymised.

8. Your rights

Under Article 11 of the KVKK you may contact us to: learn whether your personal data is processed and request information if so; learn the purpose of processing and whether it is used accordingly; know the third parties in Turkey or abroad to whom it is transferred; request correction if incomplete or inaccurate; request deletion or destruction; request that these actions be notified to third parties; object to a result against you produced exclusively by automated analysis; and claim compensation for damage caused by unlawful processing.

9. How to apply

Send your request, with enough information for us to verify your identity, by e-mail to info@drvelhair.com. We answer free of charge within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with the answer, you may lodge a complaint with the Turkish Personal Data Protection Board.

When this notice is updated, the new version is published on this page with its date.

Promotional and informational messages (optional consent)

Version: kampanya-2026-10-22. By ticking "I want to receive campaigns by e-mail" and/or "I want to receive campaigns by SMS/WhatsApp" in the inquiry form, you consent, under Turkish Law No. 6563 on the Regulation of Electronic Commerce, to Uğur Yavuz (Dr.vel) sending you campaign, information and promotional messages about hair transplants and hair treatments through the channel(s) you selected (e-mail; SMS and WhatsApp).

  • This consent is optional; your inquiry is received and assessed without it.
  • Your consent is recorded in Turkey's Message Management System (IYS). You can withdraw it at any time via iys.org.tr, the opt-out link in our messages, or by writing to info@drvelhair.com.
  • Calling or messaging you on WhatsApp to respond to your inquiry does not depend on this consent; that contact is part of handling your inquiry.
  • Your hair analysis photos and health information are never added to campaign lists.

Explicit consent for health data

The inquiry form does not ask for health information or photos. If, for a preliminary assessment, you need to share scalp photos or health information (previous treatments, medication, conditions) via WhatsApp, e-mail or during a conversation, the following explicit consent applies; you will be asked separately before sharing.

I give my explicit consent for the scalp photos and health information (special categories of personal data) that I share for a preliminary assessment for hair transplantation and hair treatments to be processed by Uğur Yavuz (Dr.vel) under Article 6 of the KVKK; to be shared with the partner healthcare institution and physician to the extent necessary for the assessment; to be transferred to service providers abroad because communication is carried out via WhatsApp, e-mail and a customer relationship system; and to be stored until the assessment is completed or I withdraw my consent. I understand that I can withdraw my consent at any time by writing to info@drvelhair.com, in which case my data will be deleted.

If you do not consent, the preliminary assessment is made without photos, by conversation only; your inquiry is still accepted.
